Intern, Brandon Bolino, Gains Experience with Real Projectives

This summer the Real Projectives® staff was thrilled to host Brandon Bolino as one of our 2020 summer interns.

Brandon is pursuing his business degree with a focus on information technologies at Virginia Tech and needed to gain some real-life experience.

We challenged Brandon to help us in the role of business analyst and database developer focusing on converting a key internal log kept as an Excel spreadsheet into a more dynamic application built using the online QuickBase platform. He documented the data elements, work processes and essential user groups. During eight weeks of working remotely and interacting regularly with our principal by video conference, he successfully created an application and database that was launched for employees to use in early August.

Brandon’s internship experience enabled him to refine personal organizational and communication methods while learning beneficial skills using QuickBase, Office365 and Lucidchart tools. “It’s hard to understand business without any (first hand) knowledge of how a real business is run, and I can confidently say that Real Projectives has given me that valuable insight,” he said.

Brandon is returning to college where he can use his experiences in the classroom. We thank him for being with us virtually the past few months and wish him the best as he finishes his bachelor’s degree.
