Central Maryland Chamber Economic Forecast 2023

The Central Maryland Chamber’s 2023 Economic Forecast was hosted at the Maryland Jockey Club.

Following a brief networking session, all attendees were seated and served lunch as welcome remarks were made by President and CEO Kristi Simon.

The afternoon started with a panel discussion moderated by our Owner and Principal Jonathan Williams with guest speakers Prince George’s County Economic Development Corporation President & CEO David Ianucci, Howard County Economic Development Authority CEO Jennifer Jones, and Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation President and CEO Amy Gowan.

Questions covered a wide range of topics such as how the potential government shutdown might affect local economies, work from home and going back to the office, and expected changes in unemployment rate. Each speaker on the panel addressed how their respective counties were experiencing these economic trends.
