Welcome Wyatt and Brandon!
Real Projectives® is thrilled to have two fantastic interns working with us this summer. We have had at least one intern or co-op student for many years, but a few months ago the coronavirus gave us pause. We then decided that this season would actually be the time to double-down by providing mostly remote and virtual opportunities for two eager students.
Wyatt Rahl joins us as a rising senior studying architecture at the University of Maryland in College Park. Although he is studying architecture, he holds growing curiosity for the full life cycle of buildings from concept to completion, along with an interest in innovation and entrepreneurship. In prior summers, Wyatt acquired experience as an intern for a general contractor. Supporting our team part-time while still taking classes, he is gaining exposure to a broad range of project phases and real estate use types.
John (Brandon) Bolino is a rising sophomore at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg studying business administration with a focus on information technologies. When our owner determined he could use some help documenting our business processes and converting a centralized Excel spreadsheet into an interactive application, the search went out for an intern. Brandon had prior experience with story mapping and developing software. Working directly with the principal, he is making great progress diagramming workflows and creating an application in QuickBase that will be ready for use by employees in a few weeks.
Although they are joining us mostly virtually — spending most time independently and communicating via online video and screen sharing — we are so pleased to be working with Wyatt and Brandon. Keep an eye out for a follow-on blog post at the end of the summer describing each of their growth and accomplishments.
