Real Projectives® Team Soars at the Central Maryland Chamber of Commerce 2022 Classic
On a warm and overcast June afternoon on Turf Valley’s Original golf course, the location of the Central Maryland Chamber of Commerce’s 2022 Classic Tournament, our team put in their best efforts on having a fun day.
Real Projectives® (RPL) happily participated while proudly sponsoring the event and providing a delicious breakfast from Bagels ’n’ Grinds of Hanover prior to the tournament teeing off.
A team of four employees took on the golf course: Owner & Principal Jonathan Williams, Senior Business Manager Christopher Weir, Project Manager Parker Aylor, and Assistant Project Manager Connor Jones.
“The young guys taught the old guys a lesson,” Weir said. “But everyone had a shot used throughout the day.”
The foursome joyfully worked their way through the course, occasionally missing their target to knock on a tree or splash in some water—but ultimately getting back on track thanks to Jones’and Aylor’s tireless efforts.
On the 17th tee, for the men’s closest to the pin contest, Jones hit an iron shot that looked like it was headed out of bounds to the left and in a pivotal moment the wind blew from the left , curving the ball onto the green in what looked like a potential winning shot. The group walked onto the green with charged emotions as the ball’s final resting place was closer to the hole than expected. However, hopes quickly got dashed as they realized that somebody earlier had hit their ball much closer to the pin.
By day’s end the RPL foursome made par, only 14 points away from the winning team. It’s tough to top another great day outdoors having a blast with colleagues and business associates!
