Announcing the Grand Opening of Rash Field Park

Published on:December 1, 2021

As the owner’s representative for the Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore on the redevelopment of Rash Field Park (Phase I), Real Projectives® shared in the excitement to celebrate its grand opening on a recent sunny Friday morning in early November 2021.

Rash Field now features a world-class park enabling both Baltimore City residents and visitors to actively play, relax with friends, and better enjoy the Inner Harbor and its amazing skyline views.

The work done by the general contractor, Whiting Turner, features new active play and passive outdoor environmental areas along with the highly anticipated Jake’s Skate Park. The glass front BGE Pavilion will house cafe space and restrooms and is set into the hillside providing a grassy roof terrace that affords great views across the harbor. Complementing the setting is a steel-framed shade structure and benches that resemble trees.

Real Projectives® (RPL) worked with a strong project team that included the Waterfront Partnership, Baltimore City agencies, designers led by Mahan Rykiel and Gensler, as well as many other consultants and specialty contractors who collectively drove a purposeful design, overcame challenges on the site, and forged through a pandemic of health and supply chain struggles to deliver the amazing park.

RPL is proud of its efforts actively managing the construction phase to realize this world-class park in the City of Baltimore.
